The New England Unit of HSA:Celebrating Herbs

The New England Unit of The Herb Society of America (NEUHSA) has announced a day-long educational event scheduled for Saturday, April 7, 2018.
The symposium’s theme is “Celebrating Herbs” offering many ways herbs are used both traditionally and modern.

The symposium’s agenda includes presentations by three well-known people in the horticultural field.
Judith Sumner, a well known botanist, is author of “American Household Botany, a History of Useful Plants, 1620-1900” and “The Natural History of Medicinal Plants.”

Kelly Orzel, of Bowery Beach Farm on Cape Elizabeth, Maine specializes in culinary and scented plants including 50 varieties of Scented Pelargoniums. Her book, “The Backyard Gardener”, is her recent book.

Betsy Williams , author of many books and articles is an entertaining lecturer both locally and nationally. Her most recent book is “Are There Fairies at the Bottom of Your Garden? Growing up Green with the Fairies.”

The Symposium, “Celebrating Herbs”, will be held at The Gardens at Elm Bank, 900 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA,
9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Saturday, April 4, 2018.

Tickets for HSA Members early Bird Registration $85.00 through March,
Non-Member Registration , $90.00 on or before March 17th.

All registrations after March 24 $105.00. Registration closes on March 28th.
