Plans are coming together for the 2017 MHA 2017 Annual Conference, and we're very excited to share some of the highlights!
Our new location at Eagle Eye Conference Center, 15500 Chandler Road., Bath Township, Michigan 48808 is about six miles from the MSU campus and offers easy "outside the door" parking, a barrier-free layout, a a wonderful selection of beverages, snacks, and meals through out the day. Our conference will be held a little later in spring than past conferences to accommodate our members who travel during the winter months. We also will have a larger selection of plants available since we will be closer to outdoor planting time.

Our keynote speaker is herbalist, educator, and double award-winning author Holly Bellebuono, who comes to us from the Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts. She will be offering two programs: Herbs for Neurodegenerative Diseases:Botanical Possibilities for Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, ALS, and More.
Women Healers of the World: The Traditions, History, and Geography of Herbal Medicine.
Holly spent seven years traveling all over the globe and interviewing women from whose work with plants carries on centuries-old traditions of healing. Come explore the roots of herbalism and celebrate herbs, medicine, and culture.

Other programs for the day include educator Tina Dawson Scott presenting a program on Ethnobotany: Unique uses of Common Herbs Among the Native Peoples and Early Settlers of the Midwest. Cilantro/Coriander, Herb of the Year 2017: In their program; The Benefits of Seed, Leaf and Flower, presented by authors and MHA board members Connie Hanson and Susan Betz.
