Western Reserve Herb Society Herb Fair

There’s no better Fair in Northeast Ohio to enjoy Herbs for all Styles, Tastes and Seasons!
Western Reserve Herb Society presents its 71th Annual Herb Fair!
Cleveland Botanical Garden, 11030 East Blvd., Cleveland Ohio
Saturday, October 8th 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.

This year’s Herb Fair is a celebration of 71 years of herbal education and herb crafting! We will have the wonderful homemade products that you have always enjoyed like our famous herb jams and jellies and our delicious hand blended herb teas. The creative members of The Western Reserve Herb Society are also hard at work designing new products for you to enjoy. We will offer culinary delights such as spicy salts, herb mixes and culinary rubs. Our herbal bread and cakes department is a crowd favorite and sells out each year! The herbal wreath department offers original creations each year that are a one of a kind works of art. Take home a fresh herb and flower nosegay from our handcrafted Tussie Mussie booth.

You’ll enjoy perusing our Garden Market where you’ll find beautiful plants and vintage garden accessories. Back by popular request will be our “Ask the Herb Experts” table where we’ll have the answers you need for all of your herbal gardening, cooking and blending questions! “Make it and Take it” herb crafts will be offered again this year, appealing to all ages. Our goal will be to share our herbal knowledge with the public in an exciting herb fair format.

On fair day you’ll also be able to learn about Peppers, or Capsicum, the 2016 Herb of the Year™. You’ll be able to take a guided tour of our lovely garden to see the varieties of peppers that we grow. Discover how we use this versatile herb in cooking, herb blends and even wreaths and tussie mussies.

You’ll be able to enjoy a free herbal educational talk at the fair this year. Kathleen Gips will be teaching us about using herbs in the program: “Herbs for Flavor, Fragrance and Fitness” presented at 12 noon.

Proceeds from the Herb Fair support Western Reserve Herb Society horticulture scholarships and our renowned Western Reserve Herb Society herb garden, housed in the glorious Cleveland Botanical Garden. Our Herb Fair is free with regular Botanical Garden admission. Credit Cards will be accepted. Parking is free with a $20 purchase.
