Spring Tea presented by the Grosse Pointe Unit
Come and enjoy afternoon tea and the beautiful grounds of the Edsel and Eleanor For House followed by a special program from Holly Shimizu, former Curator of the National Herb Garden and former Executive Director of the U.S. Botanical Garden. The program will focus on the best plants to grow in our gardens for their aromatic qualities. An emphasis on getting a long season of bloom throughout the year will bring a fragrant theme to your garden beginning with later winter going through late fall. In addition, the extraction techniques used as well as uses for fragrant plants will be covered from their use in perfumes, flower waters, as well as health and beauty products.
