2003 Educational Conference Highlights

The Herb Society of America's 2003 Educational Conference and Annual Meeting of Members, "Expanding Our Herbal Horizons," was held June 12 through June 14 at the Portland Marriott Downtown in Portland, Oregon.

Featured speakers included author and culinary educator, Susan Belsinger, Australasian College of Herbal Studies founder and aromacology expert, Dorene Petersen, and internationally respected author and herbal medicine expert, Mark Blumenthal. In total, thirteen speakers presented eleven programs covering an array of herbal topics.

Participants also had the opportunity to peruse the offerings of herbal vendors during the Marketplace, and to attend pre and post-conference tours of local gardens.

The conference concluded with HSA's Annual Awards Ceremony.
